Biography

Jeanette German (Ph.D. University of Colorado Boulder) is a Communication Studies Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow. Her areas of specialization include communication activism research, applied communication, language and social interaction, and critical pedagogy. In the past, her research has focused on the communication practices of activists and activist groups, the indexing of neoliberal ideology and political identities by members of a racially diverse business community, and the gender performativity of female NFL fans. She is currently researching how community members' online discourse promotes the politicization of the COVID-19 pandemic.
