Biography
Sydney O’Shay research focuses on the construction of stigma communication in healthcare and family contexts. Her most recent research project involves the study of stigma communication in interactions between emergency nurses and their patients, and among emergency nurses and other healthcare workers in the emergency department. She is also currently investigating the stigma management and support experiences of family members who have a loved one with an opioid use disorder.
