Dr. Elena Taylor’s research focuses on interpersonal aspects of language teaching and learning, second language writing, embodied interaction in second language teaching, and teacher professional development. Her publications appear in System, TESOL Journal, Journal of Response to Writing, and TESL Canada Journal. She is currently working on a research study that examines writing conference feedback as moment-to-moment affiliative relationship building, and a co-authored paper on natural pedagogy in second language teaching.
Elena Taylor is an Assistant Professor of ESL (Ph.D. Purdue University, 2016). She teaches courses in the Intensive English Language Institute. In her teaching, she is interested in understanding how teacher-student interaction impacts the teaching/learning process. Her areas of specialization also include second language writing, embodied interaction in second language teaching, and teacher professional development.
