BA from Amherst College in 1995
PhD in philosophy from the University of Chicago in 2009

Biography

I work primarily on questions in philosophy and film and philosophy of action. I am particularly interested in the ways in watching movies and television consists in practical thinking. I have written numerous papers and articles, including "Wittgenstein's Critical Physiognomy" and "How Movies Do Philosophy".
